DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Transport Clerk to play a vital role ensuring smooth-running of all transport scheduled activities.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will

• Run the day to day transport operation, ensuring that all routes are despatched from site on time and efficiently.
• Brief and de-brief of drivers
• Defect reporting and call outs, updating systems and essential data for KPI tracking by the business.
• Ensuring drivers are legal and compliant at the shift starts and understanding tachographs are downloaded
• To follow the work activities of the drivers providing effective allocation of work and resource in accordance to the plan using Microlise and Microsoft office based systems

• Experience working in a fast-moving transport operation
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office)
• Knowledge of working time legislation and tacho law
• Able to communicate at all levels, internally and externally
• Ability to work in a physically and mentally demanding environment
